Cooking With Italian Pizza and Pasta Sauce
1. Margherita pizza: The simplest pizza you can make at home is most certainly the margherita. All you need is some Italian pizza sauce and generous amounts of cheese, all layered on the pizza base and baked till the cheese is all melted and stringy.
2. Mac and cheese: If you like your mac and cheese to have more flavour, then the addition of some Italian pasta sauce is all you need. Prepare the mac and cheese in your traditional method with macaroni and cheese and add some of the pasta sauce to it while cooking. And voila! You’ll have a spiced version of the mac and cheese ready to serve.
3. Lasagne: If you love making lasagne, then you can use the pizza and pasta sauce to cut down on some of the time and effort involved in its preparation. Layer the pasta sheets with the pasta sauce, vegetables, cheese and chicken (optional) and bake.
4. Spaghetti with meatballs: Whether you want to use authentic chicken or lamb meatballs or a vegan or vegetarian meatball version, cook the spaghetti in the pizza and pasta sauce as an alternate to your regular sauce. The flavours of the sauce will instantly infuse the pasta and meatballs with aromas and taste no one will be able to resist.
5. Chicken sausage pizza: For the meat lovers, chicken sauces on pizza is a great choice of meal. Prepare it with a base of the pizza and pasta sauce on the pizza dough and layer with sliced sausage, some herbs, capsicum slices, onions, and plenty of cheese. Bake and enjoy.
